LOCATION: Remote in the United States

The Rheumatology Research Foundation was founded by the ACR in 1985 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The ACR and Foundation have a management agreement, whereby the ACR provides the Foundation with a variety of management services, including staffing, access to and use of computer and other equipment and appropriate space at the ACR's Executive Office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

TITLE: Director, Registry Analytics

DIRECT SUPERVISION: Coordinator, Registry Analytics

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Director, Registry Analytics is responsible for growing the data access pathway for the ACR’s registry, including those requests from the academic community, corporate entities and others who request analyses of RISE registry health care data. This position leads the facilitation of the analysis of data from the ACR’s rheumatology registry. This includes key responsibilities of implementing the process for data analyses and providing strategic guidance on the process as we expand; managing the process of external third-party requests to analyze registry data including processing analysis requests; facilitating ACR review; working collaboratively with project principal investigators and ACR data analytic centers to conduct the analysis; managing the data request pipeline; and providing support for registry analytics.                                                                                              

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic guidance for the data access pathway
  • Oversee development and execution of marketing plan promoting use of RISE data for research and other related tasks of the registry’s communications team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on RISE data during customer sales calls
  • Manage the review process for both internal and external data requests for the ACR RISE registry
  • Manage the relationship with ACR RISE registry data customers
  • Work with ACR registry vendor to generate datasets from the registry for analysis and oversee development of additional registry functionalities that support RISE-based research strategies
  • Collaborate with key departments within the ACR and the Rheumatology Research Foundation to advance RISE analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with ACR data analytic centers on the following activities:
    • Preparing registry data for research purposes
    • Identifying and executing on opportunities to link RISE data with other data sources
    • Conducting feasibility analyses for RISE data customers
    • Scoping out activities and budget for requested projects
    • Overseeing contracting processes and discussions
    • Analyzing data in the RISE registry as part of the implementation of data plans
    • Developing publications from RISE registry data.
    • Ensuring timely service to both internal and external RISE data customers. 
  • Assist in and/or give relevant presentations to stakeholders (e.g., programming for RISE Summit, Education Exchange, and other meetings)
  • Serve as staff liaison for the Research & Publications Subcommittee, including tasks such as meeting regularly with the subcommittee chair, overseeing subcommittee meeting planning, and completing other activities as needed
  • Provide staff support for the Registries and Health IT Committee related to the R&P Subcommittee’s work and at the request of the Sr. Director, Registry
  • Oversee the daily tasks and professional development of Coordinator, Registry Analytics
  • Attend the ACR’s Annual Scientific Meeting (known as Convergence) to promote use of RISE data for research and handle responsibilities as directed
  • Any other duties the Sr. Director, Registry, Vice President, Practice, Advocacy & Quality, ACR Senior Vice President, or Executive Vice President may assign


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a science, informatics, public health, or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Five years of consistent, full-time professional registry and/or analytics experience
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on tracking and meeting deliverables and deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate both the technical aspects of the position with relevant parties, e.g., vendors, and the ability to translate and convey technical information to non-technical parties, e.g., customers
  • Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally and effectively with customers, staff, vendor, etc.
