THE INSTITUTION

The successful applicant will join the UAB Informatics Institute, one of the leading informatics units in the Deep South, to participate in its education and research missions. The Institute has 8 full time and 20 affiliate faculty with primary appointments in many Heersink School of Medicine departments, as well as several other schools at UAB. Members of the Institute conduct independent research and participate in leading national and international research consortia.

Requirements

- MD or Ph.D.
- Prior experience in teaching, developing curricula, and mentoring
- Bioinformatics training and experience, especially analysis of genomic and proteomic sequence data


Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in educational program development, direction, and evaluation
- Collegial, collaborative, and diplomatic interpersonal style and ability to implement inclusive approaches to foster consensus and engagement across diverse stakeholders and constituents
